Enjoy a full-day family-friendly tour exploring Bangkok's historic canals, beautiful temples, bustling markets, and charming gardens, with opportunities to taste local treats and learn about Thai culture along the way.

Embark on a captivating full-day tour that reveals the authentic heart of Bangkok, taking you away from the bustling city streets and along the historic canals (Khlongs) of Thonburi.

Morning: Royal Monasteries and Local Life

Your day begins with a transfer from your hotel to Wat Arun Temple Pier 2. From there, board a traditional boat to navigate Khlong Bangkok Yai, the original flow of the mighty Chao Phraya River. Our first stop is Wat Hong Rattanaram Ratchaworawihan, a stunning 2nd-class royal monastery dating back to the Ayutthaya period. Recognized as a National Ancient Monument, you'll explore its ordination hall—a beautiful fusion of Thai and Chinese art known as the Royal Favored Style. Gain authentic insights into Buddhist practice and join a brief meditation session.

Next, we visit Wat Intharamworawihan, another ancient Ayutthaya-period temple closely linked to King Taksin the Great. Following this historical gem, immerse yourself in local life with a stroll through the lively Wat Klang Market and enjoy a morning break at the century-old, vintage Thai-style Suriya Café (food & drinks at own expense). Conclude the morning by exploring the vibrant Talad Phlu Old Community, a local hotspot famed for its authentic Thai street food, noodles, and delectable desserts.

Enjoy lunch at your leisure. We suggest a renowned local restaurant (dating back over 100 years to King Rama V’s reign) famous for its signature Mee Krob (crispy rice noodles). Guests are free to choose their preferred dining spot in the area (lunch is at own expense).

Afternoon: Hidden Temples and Historic Orchards

In the afternoon, our boat journey continues along Khlong Dan. Our first stop is Wat Nang Ratchaworawihan, an Ayutthaya-era temple that features a unique museum showcasing the lifestyle of the local Chom Thong communities, historically known for their fruit orchards. Please note: Advance notice is required as the museum's opening is not guaranteed.

Next, enjoy the peaceful canal scenery as we cruise along Khlong Bang Tien before reaching Poomjai Garden. This historic lychee orchard has been lovingly transformed into a cozy café and garden. Here, you can visit a legendary lychee tree, over a century old, which has recently stopped fruiting due to climate changes. Take time to relax with an afternoon drink and dessert at your leisure (food & drinks at own expense).

At 16:00, a van will pick you up at Poomjai Garden for your transfer back to your hotel, arriving around 17:00.
