Often hailed as the "Kitchen of Japan," Osaka is an essential destination for any food enthusiast, and this tour provides an authentic culinary deep dive into its heart. You will explore Shinsekai, a historic and vibrant district that offers a unique, retro atmosphere often missed by mainstream tourists. Led by your expert local guide, you will embark on a three-hour gastronomic adventure, visiting five carefully selected local eateries, ranging from time-honored traditional restaurants to a lively, standing-only bar (tachinomi).

Your immersive journey is a tasting odyssey featuring up to 15 signature dishes and two included drinks. The evening kicks off with dishes that originated right here in Shinsekai: the local specialty, kushikatsu (deep-fried skewers), and the rich, savory doteyaki (slow-simmered beef tendon). As you continue, you’ll savor beloved Japanese classics like crispy Karaage (fried chicken) and the city's iconic, spherical delight, Takoyaki (octopus balls). The tour culminates with comforting, warming dishes such as Oden (stewed delights) and authentic Osaka-style Udon. Throughout the evening, your guide will enrich the experience by sharing fascinating stories and historical insights into Shinsekai's colorful and unique past, truly bringing this dynamic neighborhood to life.

          • Japan's climate has become more extreme, with summer highs of 40°C (110°F) and winter lows of -5°C (20°F). Please prepare accordingly for the tour.
